Does your schedule abstain from personal skincare?
Does make-up sound so much to do and so little time?
The advent of teenage welcomed severe breakouts and then it was simply no looking back; I had forever bid good-bye to my beautiful silky smooth face. Era of face packs, toners, and moisturizers, referring all the beauty magazines began… of course, and I cannot forget the ugly, disappointing remarks from my kith and kin along with their rude tips and tricks. Though, I had not left any stone unturned from my end but the hormonal imbalance was always several steps ahead.
With the onset of my twenties, the severity came down. Oh yes, I became wiser with the increase in my general knowledge very specifically on skin and cosmetics. Ahhh…the typical girl attitude which is no big deal!! I started experimenting with the little make-up stuff I had, to cover-up my acne and scars. And with years of trials, errors and finally success, here I stand before you with this post on quick tips for make up for all busy bees turned beasts post motherhood.
For most of the women especially the married clan, mornings are quite a hullaballoo. #1. Face wash
Begin with a good face wash, whichever suits you the best. I would suggest go for any chemical free wash that is easily available in the market with fairly reasonable price.
Be mild and gentle while you clean your face and do it in circular motion. Splash plenty of water and pat your face with a clean soft towel instead of rubbing it hard.
#2. Moisturizer
Grab your favorite moisturizer soon after face wash and dab on little dots to spread it uniformly. Don’t over-use moisturizers; just a little is enough to give you good results.
A moisturizer with a sunscreen combination is the best for ladies who are exposed to sunlight and other harmful exposures.
Watch out for CTM skin care routine.
#3. Foundation / CC Cream
I am a big fan of CC Cream especially Lakme’s ALL IN 1 Instant Skin Stylist with SPF 20. It’s quite gentle on the skin. Choose the right color according to your skin tone.
Just like my moisturizer, I dab on little dots all over the face, neck area, of course not missing on my ears and then spread it evenly. This gives a clean, neat and smooth look hiding the scars, blemishes or open pores without making your skin go oily.
#4. Kajal
A neat smudge free kajal revives your eyes and that’s all I do when I go for work.
I avoid using eyeliners and mascaras on daily basis because of the time crunch and secondly, it’s reserved for occasions.
What fun if there is a no new YOU on special days!!! Isn’t it?
#5. Lipstick
Your face doesn’t light up unless and until there is no color. Use lipsticks with sheer or gloss finish since it requires less precision and can be applied in seconds.
Choose the best red tone which goes perfectly with your skin shade. There is a red for very girl and I am a big fan of red.
#6. Compact Powder
Finally the compact powder, which fixes all the make-up flaws and gives a brighter appearance. Never forget your powder, it freezes your makeup and doesn’t give a melting face. Anyway, who wants to look like shiny mess in an eight to ten hour shift, right??
Are you set to going with your million dollar smile and see the heads turn with these tips on doing make up? Marriage and motherhood is not the end of looking beautiful, it is just the beginning of a makeover.
